WEBSTER COUNTY, KY (12/5/12) – Four Webster County students have been named “Outstanding Students of the First Nine Weeks” at the Kentucky Tech-Webster County Area Technology Center. Amanda Stone (Computer Aided Drafting), J.T. Beckner (Welding Technology), Chance Cook (Machine Tool Technology) and Amber Short (Health Sciences) all received this honor.
Webster County ATC Outstanding Students are chosen by their instructors based on the following criteria: a minimum 3.0 GPA in the technical program, minimum 95% attendance, demonstrates student leadership and citizenship qualities.
“Congratulations to our outstanding students for their hard work and dedication,” said ATC Principal Larry Garrity. “They are receiving quality technical, employability, and academic instruction that will help them make the successful transition to college and a career.” Garrity added, “Webster County Schools....One Goal: College and Career Readiness for All Students.”
