Providence Police
Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell Reported the following arrests and accidents:
Fri., Jan. 18, 2013
An accident occurred in the parking lot of Health First. According to the Providence Police Department, Marie Waide, 83 of Providence, backed into a vehicle operated by Lorrie Davis, 45 of Providence. There were no injuries reported.
Sun., Jan. 20, 2013
An accident occurred on Westerfield Drive. According to the Providence Police Department, Charles Polk, 79 of Providence, backed into a vehicle parked in his driveway. There were no injuries reported.
Tue., Jan. 22, 9:00 a.m.
•On Jan. 15, 2013, Jonathan Breedlove, 43 of Providence, was cited to court for 3 counts of Disorderly Conduct.
Sheriff’s Report
Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield also reported the following accidents:
Friday., Jan. 4, 3:30 p.m.
An accident occurred in Sebree. According to Deputy Jay Workins, Jill Lieske, 47 of Sebree was backing out of a parking spot in her 2008 Jeep Patriot when a 1995 Ford Ranger driven by Marcial Camilla, 53 of Robards entered the parking lot. Lieske struck Camilla’s vehicle in the passenger’s side. There were no injuries reported. Lieske’s vehicle suffered moderate damage, while Camilla’s vehicle only had minor damage. Both vehicles left under their own power.
Friday., Jan. 4, 2:25 p.m.
An accident occurred on the KY 109 in Clay. According to Deputy Jay Workins, Alisha Walters, 25 of Robards, was heading west on State Route 56 when a deer ran into her path. She reported that she did not have time to stop. Walter’s 2005 Dodge Stratus suffered moderate damage but left the scene under its own power. There were no injuries reported.
Friday., Jan. 14, 8:30 p.m.
An accident occurred on the KY 56 near Sebree. According to Deputy Donald Jones, Jerry Bumpus, 53 of Sturgis, was heading west bound at the Elm St. crossing when Ronald Stone, 64 of Wheatcroft failed to see his vehicle and attempted to cross the intersection in his 2002 Dodge Dakota, striking the right rear of Bumpus’ 1999 Dodge Intrepid. Stone’s vehicle received only minor damage while Bumpus’ received moderate damage. Neither vehicle was towed and there were no injuries reported.

Webster County - Circuit Court
The following court case was presented in Webster County Circuit Court recently:
•Cody L. Parker was granted Shock Probation by Judge Rene Williams for a period of five years. During this time he must meet all provisions of his parole.
State Police
Statistics indicate that eight people died in eight separate crashes on Kentucky’s roadways from Monday, Jan. 7 through Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.
Through Jan. 13, preliminary statistics indicate that 15 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2013. This is nine less than reported for this time period in 2012. Of the 10 motor vehicle fatalities, three victims were not wearing seat belts. One of the two motorcycle fatalities was not wearing a helmet. Two pedestrians have been killed. One fatality involving an animal drawn vehicle has been reported. A total of five fatalities have resulted from crashes involving the suspected use of alcohol.
