police beat blue 5WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (3/6/13) – The following is your weekly update of law enforcement activity in and around the Webster County area.

Providence Police
Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell Reported the following arrests and accidents:

Fri., March. 1
•Joe Price, 26 of Providence, was cited to court for Failure to Produce Insurance Card.
•Miranda Freer, 18 of Clay, was cited to court for Failure to Produce Insurance Card.
•Bradtel Copeland, 22 of Providence, was arrested on a bench warrant from Henderson County and for Operating on a Suspended or Revoked License.
•A 4 vehicle collision reported on Westerfield Drive. Aurelios Woolfolk, age 61 of Providence, Joe Price, 26 of Providence, Bradtel Copeland, 22 of Providence and Travis Turner, 18 of Providence, were all involved. One passenger was transported to Baptist Hospital by Providence EMS.
Fri., March. 1
•Larry McChesney, age 36 of Providence, was arrested for 4th Degree Assault, Domestic Violence with Minor Injuries.
 
Sheriff’s Report
Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield reported the following accidents:

Sun., Feb. 24, 9:27 p.m.
Deputy Steve Madden responded to an accident that occurred on US 41 in Sebree. According to the report, Michael D. Sikes, 49 of Madisonville, was southbound when a deer entered the road. A wreck was unavoidable. There were no injuries reported but Sikes’ 2002 Ford Escape XLT was towed from the scene.
Sat., Feb. 27, 11:50 a.m.
Deputy Donald Jones reported to an accident that occurred on KY 120, six miles west of Slaughters. According to the report, Jamie E. Sullivan, 34 of Providence, was traveling eastbound when a deer ran into the road. She attempted to swerve and exited the road. She overcorrected and went into a skid, striking a downed tree. Webster County EMS transported Sullivan to Baptist Medical Center and her 2000 Chevy Lumina was towed from the scene.
Sat., Feb. 27, 7:21 p.m.
Deputy Steve Madden reported to an accident that occurred on KY 56, four miles east of Poole. According to the report, Elizabeth Neaveill, 19 of Sebree, encountered oncoming traffic that was in her lane. To avoid a head-on collision she exited the roadway, lost control and struck an embankment. There were no injuries reported but Neaveill’s 2004 Dodge Neon was towed from the scene. The driver and make of the other vehicle are unknown.
Sun., Feb. 28, 9:15 a.m.
Sheriff Frankie Springfield reported to an accident that occurred on KY 630, four miles south of Dixon. According to the report, William Givens, 42 of Madisonville, was traveling south on 630 when a deer ran into the road. While attempting to miss the deer his tires went off the shoulder on the south side of the road. Givens overcorrected and then went off the northern shoulder, striking an embankment with the front of his vehicle and going airborne. The vehicle reentered the roadway and came to rest with the front tires in a ditch on the south side of the road. Givens was transported by Webster County EMS to Baptist Medical Center and his 2004 Ford Ranger was towed from the scene.
