nurse aideMUHLENBERG, Ky. (2/21/14) – Students interested in earning a nurse aide certification or who are pursuing enrollment in the MCC nursing program still have time to register for the NAA100 – Nursing Assistant Skills course offered at Madisonville Community College’s Muhlenberg Campus.  

The course will meet during the second bi-term of the spring 2014 semester beginning Tuesday, March 18 and ending on Thursday, May 8. 

Class times are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 201. Tammy Johnson is the instructor.
 
The NAA 100 course will give students the opportunity to complete a certificate credential and enter the workforce for immediate employment. It provides knowledge and skills for nurse aides to assume the role and responsibility required in a long term care setting. The focus is communication, infection control, safety, resident/patient rights, and basic nursing skills. NAA 100 is also a pre-requisite for the college’s Integrated Nursing program.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.  

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the 2013-2014 academic year.
