Fifteen Students Complete Leadership Retreat

wku gray black borderBOWLING GREEN, KY (11/27/12) – Fifteen Western Kentucky University freshmen recently completed an overnight leadership retreat hosted by WKU’s Student Activities: Leadership & Volunteerism Department.
 
The overnight leadership retreat called Weekend in the Woods was held at Barefoot Republic Camp in Fountain Run on Nov. 16-17. The freshmen were selected through an application and nomination process and gained valuable leadership skills that will help them in their experiences and become a better leader.
 
Participants included MiRanda Anderson, Louisville; Jessica Angelly, Metropolis, Ill.; Lumar Bennett, Frankfort; Jessica Lee Canada, Williamsburg; Ashley Flener, Madisonville; Madison Gilinsky, Lexington; Anissa Harrell, Radcliff; Jessica Henao, Medellin, Colombia; Schuyler McCaig, Goshen; Taylor Milan, Springfield, Ohio; Allan Moreno, Nashville, Tenn.; Courtney Roark, London; Margot Schenning, Lexington; Emma Shoaf, Lexington; and Chandler Smith, Paducah.
