Three Charged in Theft Investigation

Theft red 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (6/5/13) – Two adults and a juvenile face theft-related charges after Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of people illegally entering vehicles on Gunsmoke Trail.

 According to the sheriff’s office, Alen Aliefendic, 18, Bowling Green, Michael Jones, 18, Bowling Green, and the unnamed juvenile, also of Bowling Green were stopped at 5 a.m. on May 30, and allegedly gave conflicting reports to deputies. Police then received consent to search the vehicle and allege they found various items reported stolen, as well as a pair of handguns. One of the guns was registered as stolen through the National Crime Information Center, police said.
 
Aliefendic, Jones, and the juvenile were each charged with Third Degree Criminal Trespass, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Receiving Stolen Property. Aliefendic and Jones were each lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail. The juvenile was cited and released to his parents’ custody.
