WKU Hosting National Veterans Day Concert

soldier flag 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (10/28/13) - The award-winning Medical Musical Group will present its 2013 National Veterans Day Concert on Nov. 10 at WKU’s Van Meter Hall.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. with a preconcert at 2 p.m. Admission is free but tickets are required. For tickets, contact WKU Campus and Community Events at (270) 745-2497 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Group members include doctors, nurses and others from medical centers and schools across the United States. The group’s founder, “Medical Maestro” Victor Wahby, M.D., is a senior VA physician and fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Featured guests for the National Veterans Day Concert include WKU President Gary Ransdell, hosts Gene Birk and Barbara Deeb; distinguished narrator Dr. James Holsinger, former Kentucky Secretary of Health and Family Services; narrators Kentucky Chief Justice John Minton, Rep. Jim DeCesare and Rep. Jody Richards; and guest conductors Paul Hondorp and Bill Scott. WKU PBS will videotape the concert.
