Veteran’s Day Weather Update – Strong Winds Moving in with Cold Front

Weatheradvisory111112KENTUCKY (11/11/12) – A beautiful morning is kicking off for all of Western Kentucky on Veteran’s Day, but more extreme conditions are on the way.

We have a cold front moving towards the area bringing a sudden drop in temperatures later tonight. With that front impacting the warm front that is now over the area, the winds will start gusting fairly hard later today.

According to the National Weather Service, gusty south winds will increase steadily throughout the morning with very strong winds moving in during the afternoon hours. These winds may vary between 35-45 MPH.

We’re also looking at a 100% chance of rain tonight and a 90% chance on Monday during the morning hours. We will only be seeing a high of 46% for Monday.
