KUTTAWA, KY (11/22/12) – On Wednesday November 11th, Kentucky State Police (KSP) officials responded to a shooting complaint at 113 East Clough Street in Kuttawa, KY.
Upon arrival, Troopers were advised by the victim and several witnesses that a vehicle was observed stopped in front of the residence. The operator exited the vehicle, brandished a long gun and fired shots toward the residence before fleeing the scene.
Through their investigation, State Police were able to identify the vehicle and the operator which led to the arrest of Robert Kevin Burchett, age 45 of Eddyville, Ky.
Burchett, who was located in the Bandana community of Ballard County, was apprehended without incident and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on the charge of Attempted Murder.
No one was injured in the incident which was believed to have stemmed from a dispute between the victim’s son and Burchett.
The investigation continues by Detectives Steve Silfies and John Sims.
