KENTUCKY (1/20/13) – As the first month of the 2013 year nears an end, winter conditions are still in the forecast, with record lows for the year.
We’ll be seeing a considerable amount of sunshine throughout the week, but the temperatures will not match visible conditions. It will look warm, but feel very chilly starting on Monday.
We’re looking at a high of around 28 degrees on Martin Luther King Day, with a low of a shocking 12 degrees for Monday night.
On Tuesday temperatures will only get up to around 25 degrees, with a low of 19 for the evening hours.
Fortunately, we’ll see a slight warming coming in on Wednesday in the high 30’s, but the slight warm front will possibly have a negative effect on weather conditions for Thursday. As the slight warm front hits the already present cold front, freezing rain and sleet will likely be experienced with a low in the high 20’s and some fairly strong gusts of wind.
Friday will bring with it a slight chance of rain and snow showers, with the wind gusts remaining.
SurfKY News will keep you updated with current and forthcoming weather conditions.
