we honor vetsMADISONVILLE, KY (11/13/12) – On Sunday, November 3, 2012, the Madisonville Police Department (MPD) C Squad members, Lt. Matt Enlow, Sgt. Ryan Clark, Ptl. Sean McCance, Ptl. Heath Owens, Ptl. Daniel Cavanah and Paul Haynie, alongside the cadets from HCCHS AFJROTC, gathered together for “Operation Give Back.”
The mission of Operation Give Back is to seek monetary donations for the residents of the Eddie Ballard Western Kentucky Veteran’s Center. Additionally, this operation allowed the residents of Hopkins County to join together to give thanks and show support and appreciation of the brave men and women who fought for our country, and for their dedication and sacrifices.
According to Police officials, the pride that Hopkins County has for our veterans and their service to our great nation was evident as over $3000.00 was collected.
According to information provided by Madisonville Police Chief Wade Williams, the funds collected will be used in accordance with the wishes and requests of the residents of the Veteran’s Center.
“MPD C Squad members would like to extend a special thank you to Major Griebenow, Chief Rogers, and the 22 cadets that volunteered their time to help make Operation Give Back a success,” said Chief Williams. “Additionally, special thanks goes out to K-Mart, Walmart, Kroger and Hoard Signs for all of their assistance. Finally, and most importantly, we join with countless others in saying thanks to all veterans for their dedication, service and sacrifice.”
