MADISONVILLE, KY (12/08/12)—Crosstown Rivals, Hopkins County Central High School (HCCHS) Storm and Madisonville North Hopkins High School (MNHHS) Maroons will play their first basketball game against each other this season on Tuesday December 11 at HCCHS.
Beginning at 6 PM, at the start of the Varsity Girls’ game, HCCHS Health Sciences Instructor, Kim Woodall, is leading the Health Occupation Students of America in a coat drive requested by the Hopkins County Assistance Center. This is one of the biggest basketball games of the season for North or Central and the community attendance is expected to be high, according to Marty Cook, HCCHS Assistant Principal.
Woodall is asking that attendees, who are able, bring any new or gently worn coat to the door to contribute to the coat drive. The entry fee for one or both Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys games is $5 for adults and $4 for students.
The Varsity Boys are scheduled to play at 8 PM. The coat donation will be appreciated as a donation to the Hopkins County Assistance Center.
