Little Caesars Grand Opening

LC1MADISONVILLE, KY (12/10/12)—Little Caesars Pizza is “Hot N’ Ready” for business this week.

The new location beside Number 9 Steakhouse on North Main Street is having their Grand Opening on Tuesday December 11th at 11 AM.  The store will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM-9 pm—Friday and Saturday from 11 AM-10PM—and Sunday from 12 PM-9 PM.

The store is hosting giveaways all week, and into next week. Store owner Shaun Caldwell told SurfKY News in an interview that anyone can enter their name to win an IPAD mini, IPOD, free wings for a year, free pizza for a year, or a free Meal Deal for a year. Anyone interested in entering to win, must visit the store and fill out a registration form. There is no purchase necessary to enter. The names will be drawn the week of December 18. You do not have to be present to win. If your name is drawn and you aren’t present for the drawing, store managers will call you at any phone numbers you provide on the registration form.

Shaun and his wife Allison Caldwell currently live in Hopkinsville and are planning to relocate to Madisonville as soon as they can sell the home they’re living in now. They told SurfKY News that their family has owned Little Caesars stores for the past four years. They have a store in Hopkinsville, one in Fort Campbell, and now the new location in Madisonville.

When asked why they chose Madisonville to open the new store, they both agreed that they really like the town to live in and, after researching the market and studying the demographics, they decided it would be a great place to open Little Caesars.

Shaun said they bought the building from a gentleman from Evansville, IN right after Family Video moved out of it. They now own the whole building, but are only occupying the left part of it and are hoping to rent out the other side to any retailer or business owner interested in being connected to a business with potentially high traffic.

LC2Shaun said he had researched the traffic on North Main Street and the retail area and consumer income for the primary customer at those retail stores and decided that Little Caesars would be a good fit for people traveling to the north side of town. Shaun smiled enthusiastically and said, “I heard this is a pizza town anyway.”

When asked if he thought Pizza Hut would be any competition because it’s located just down the street from Little Caesars, Shaun said he didn’t think so. He acknowledged that Pizza Hut has its own customer base and may out sell the Little Caesars franchise as a whole, but he thinks locally Little Caesars is going to be more suitable to the economy in Madisonville. The store is offering everyday 10% discounts to military soldiers and veterans and also to active miners.

“Coal mining is the bread and butter of this town and we want to show our appreciation to the miners here and to all veterans in any location,” stated Shaun. They also give military discounts at their other two store locations.

There is a pick up window as you circle around the building to order your Hot N’ Ready pizza or breadsticks. “Five dollar Hot and ready pizza all day every day. That’s where no one can beat us,” Shaun declared. He also noted that customers get personal service at their pick up window. There are no intercoms to speak through to place your order. He said the five dollar Hot n’ Ready deal is their catch, but that there are many other good deals that people don’t even know about yet. “Value brings them in; Quality brings them back,” Shaun stated in regard to his experience as a Little Caesars store owner and manager.

There are 28 employees working at Little Caesars and Shaun and Allison said they were all hired locally. Every employee in the building was hard at work getting ready for tomorrow’s Grand Opening event.
