Central City Man Arrested for Possession of Meth

drug arrest meth 04 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (11/30/12) – On Thursday, November 29, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department reported the arrest of a Central City man on Meth-related charges.

According to Sheriff’s Department officials, Deputy Pat Putnam performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 181 North and 70 West at Midland. The driver, Jordan L. Copous of 1207 West Reservoir in Central City, was unable to pass a field sobriety test. A search resulted in finding various drug-related items.

Copous was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), Improper Equipment, Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Copous is currently lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Deputy Putnam was assisted on the scene by Special Deputy Bill Henson and KSP Trooper Job McGehee.
