WEBSTER COUNTY, KY (12/2/12) – On Saturday, December 1, 2012, Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a report of an accident one mile north of Providence on US 41-A.

Once on the scene, KSP Troopers found that 20-year-old Nicholas Marvel, of Providence, was traveling North on US 41-A towards a vehicle driven by 46-year-old John A. Jones, also of Providence. For unknown reasons, Marvel’s vehicle struck Jones’ vehicle on the front driver side.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster County Coroner’s Office. Jones’ passenger, 21-year-old Jody Jones, was transported to Regional Medical Center in Madisonville for treatment of injuries.

This incident is still under investigation.
