Lilly’s Legacy donates tote bags to Baptist Health NICU

Baptist Health Paducah 300PADUCAH, Ky. (6/11/13) – Lilly’s Legacy, a Walk by Faith Ministries program, recently donated 50 tote bags for parents with newborns in the Baptist Health Paducah Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
            
The bags were filled with several items, including non-perishable snacks, bottled water, tissues, playing cards and a restaurant gift card.
 
“We are so fortunate to be the beneficiary of such a special gift of love for our NICU parents,” said Lisa Parnell, R.N., director of Mother and Baby Care. “Our parents have so much of their world turned upside down when a newborn is admitted into the NICU. We are well-equipped to care for their baby, but this special gift, tailored to the parents’ needs, is such a blessing and a wonderful example of our mission of Christian heritage. It will help our families during a very stressful time.”
            
Lilly’s Legacy was started by Walk by Faith Ministries founder Billy Rodgers in memory of his great-niece Lilly Blair Cumbie.
