Salvation Army Seeks Assistance from Public

salvation army 300HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (11/15/12) – The Thanksgiving season is a time for being thankful, as well as a time to give. Local citizens are asked to step forward and give those in need something to be thankful for in the 2012 holiday season.

The Hopkins County Salvation Army (SA), located on McCoy Avenue in Madisonville, has issued a request for community assistance. SA has stated that they are needing donations in the form of drinks, desserts, paper goods, or monetary donations to help offset the cost of the annual Thanksgiving meal that is served to the public, free of charge.

The meal will take place on November 20, between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Donations can be delivered to the SA office or the SA Family store during regular hours from now until Tuesday.
