 per

 it
a
little

 they

Bluegrass
 Pharmacy
 owner
 Gary
 Russell
 stated,
 “We
 are
 offering
 this
 free
 children’s
 vitamin
program
in
 an
 effort
 to
 minimize
 vitamin
 deficiencies
that
may
occur
in
children
 due
to a
lack
of
balance
in
their
diet.
Ideally,
they
would
 get
five
fruits
and
 vegetables
a
 day
 but
 this
 may
 not
 occur
 for
 various
 reasons,
 especially
 in
 children
 who
 are
 picky
 eaters.”

Studies
 have
 revealed
 that
 heart
 disease,
 diabetes,
 osteoporosis,
 cancer
 and
 obesity
 in
 adults
are
 often
 a
direct
 result
of
nutritional
 deficiencies
in
childhood.

Russell
 says
 that
 his
 pharmacy
 team
 is
 passionate
 about
 getting
 quality
 vitamins
 in
 the
 hands
 of
 Madisonville
parents.

“Vitamins
 are
 essential
 for
 your
 child's
 cellular,
 physical
 and
 mental
 development
 stages,
 and
 can
 prevent
 future
 health
 problems,”
 he
 says.
 “That’s
 why
 we
 wanted
 to
 start
 the
 Healthy
 Kids
 Free
 Vitamin
 Program:
 now
 local
 parents
 can
 make
 a
 big
 difference
in
their
child’s
health, for
free,
 every
 month.”
