Muhlenberg Task Force on Trail of Home Invasion Suspects

breakingnews1MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (8/21/14) — A team of Muhlenberg's finest are on the hunt for three suspects reported to have entered a residence at gunpoint and stealing several items from the home.

According to a Greenville Police Department report, the newly-formed Muhlenberg County Investigative Task Force is on the job for this case. The task force was formed to investigate crimes throughout the county and is comprised of investigators from Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office, Central City, Powderly and Greenville police departments.

According to the report, the home invasion being investigated occurred at about 5 a.m., today, Aug. 21 at a Reynolds Cemetery Lane residence in Greenville. The homeowner reported three subjects entered his residence and held him at gunpoint while they stole several pieces of his property.

If anyone has information that might help the task force in its investigation, call the Sheriff's Office at (270) 338-3345, Muhlenberg Central Dispatch at (270) 338-2200 or any local law enforcement agency.

MCITF is urging all citizens to be aware of their surroundings and to be cautious of suspicious individuals near their homes.
