The Owensboro City Commissioners will hold a work session 12 p.m. Jan. 14 at City Hall, located at 101 E 4th Street. For more information, call: (270) 687-8552.

The Owensboro Public Schools Board of Education will hold a luncheon 12 p.m. Jan. 16 at their Central Office, located at 450 Griffith Avenue. For more information, call: (270) 686-1000.

The Daviess County Public Schools Board of Education will hold a regular meeting 6 p.m. Jan. 16 at their Central Office, located at 1622 Southeastern Parkway. For more information, call: (270) 852-7000.

The Daviess County Public Library will host “Unscripted: An Indie Film Xperience”, brought to Owensboro by Verite Cinema. The six-week series offers screenings from popular indie films, along with question and answer and commentary by the film’S directors and cast and crew. The event is free. The Owensboro Ballroom Dance Club presents January’s semi-formal “Winter Wonderland” 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Kentucky National Guard Armory, located at 3300 Tamarack Road. For more information, go to: www.obrdc.com.
