Owensboro Seal 02 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (5/9/14) — Chamber and EDC are seeking area business involvement in Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis regional economic study.

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation are seeking involvement from Owensboro area businesses in a Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis survey on regional economic conditions. The results of the study will be released this summer.

Researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis have selected Owensboro as the current focus of their ongoing series of profiles of metropolitan areas in the Eighth Federal Reserve District, a seven state region that includes Owensboro. The study seeks to explain what drives the region’s economy and present a medium-term outlook. As a part of the study, the Federal Reserve is conducting a short ten question survey of area businesses. Participation is voluntary, and will be open to all businesses from May 5 through May 14 in an online format.

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis expects to release the information prior to the July 17 Owensboro in 50 Years Summit.
