Public Art Unveiling Tuesday, June 3

owensboro ky1 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (6/2/14) — The Owensboro Board of Commissioners invites the public to a public art unveiling ceremony for the new public art to be displayed at McConnell Plaza Tuesday, June 3, 4 p.m.

The public artwork is the first installation of art through the Riverartes: The Art of Placemaking. The project, designed to celebrate the vitality of Owensboro and enhance its reputation as a cultural tourism destination, is being organized for the City of Owensboro by the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art and a citizens group, the Downtown Public Art Committee.

The artwork is on lease for two years.
