Changing Energy Landscape to be Discussed at Thursday’s Rooster Booster

rooster booster3 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (8/5/14) — Sheldon Petersen, CEO of the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, will address the crowd of business and community leaders this Thursday, Aug. 7 at the monthly Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Rooster Booster.

The program will start at 7:30 a.m. in the East Ballroom of the Owensboro Convention Center. During the networking time from 7-7:30 a.m., Kennedy McCollam will perform.

“Energy, and the changing landscape of energy production and consumption in our region, is of great importance to our future,” said Amy Jackson, President and CEO of the Chamber. “We are excited to host a leader in the national energy conversation here in Owensboro for an outlook.”

CFC, the organization that Petersen has led since 1995, is a not-for-profit financing institution organized in 1969 for the purpose of providing capital to the rural electric cooperatives throughout the nation.

Founded in 1913, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has worked for a century to provide valuable benefits and services to member business and individuals.
