city owensboro 300OWENSBORO, KY (1/18/12) – The city of Owensboro has announce that it is seeking applicants for the positions of Television Journalist and Parks Department intermittent and seasonal positions.
 
TELEVISION JOURNALIST: We are seeking an “on camera” individual who is outgoing, personable, friendly, articulate, confident, has excellent oral communication skills, can effectively write narratives and conduct interviews on camera, and effectively perform professional and technical work involving the development/production/taping, and live/tape cablecasting of various programs for the government access channel and other video programming. If selected for an interview, may be required to participate in presentation-style exercise to demonstrate on-camera ability.
 
REQUIRES:
Associates degree preferred or equivalent from an accredited 2-yr college or technical school with course work emphasis in telecommunications, communications, mass communications, broadcast journalism or related field, and demonstrated experience in managing and operating audio-video and photo equipment to include some experience in video, digital photography and graphics; or an equivalent combination of training/experience which provides the required knowledge/skills/abilities. $10.00/hr.
