HEND HEROES

HENDERSON, KY (11/27/12) – Bend Gate Elementary students were challenged to read 5,000 books by Thanksgiving break. Staff informed them that if they reached the 5,000 goal they would run/walk the 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day in Henderson, Kentucky.

“Due to the hard work of our students and staff we haven’t just met that challenge, we surpassed it a month early…our kids read 5,000 books before the end of October. It was a lot of fun,” said Bob Lawson, Bend Gate Elementary Assistant Principal.
