Henderson Police Reports Activity

HendersonPD logoHENDERSON, Ky. (4/2/14) — The Henderson Police Department reported the recent accidents and arrests.

Henderson Police responded to a report of an automobile accident in the 1200 block of N. Green St. at 3:20 p.m. on March 28.

Authorities said Brent Thomason, 28, of Henderson apparently crossed the center line as he was driving north on N. Green St. and struck the driver’s side of a vehicle carrying Matthew Binder, 31, of Henderson, and Crystal Binder, 35, of Henderson, who were headed south. Thomason’s vehicle then hit a street sign at the intersection of 13th and N. Green streets. Thomason was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said. No other injuries were reported.

At 2:27 p.m. on March 17, Henderson Police received a report of theft at the police department. Authorities said a woman told them a Henderson man had written a check to himself, forged the signature, and cashed it. The incident remains under investigation by the Henderson Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

At 7:30 p.m. on March 27, Glenn Whitlock, 31, was arrested in the 400 block of S. Adams St. on two warrants alleging first degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Authorities said the warrants “were based on two controlled drug buys from the fall of 2013 in which Whitlock (allegedly) sold crack cocaine to an informant.” Whitlock was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.

At 4:54 p.m. on March 25, Henderson Police received a report of a stolen purse at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. Authorities said a Robards woman told them she had two prescription medications inside her purse when it was taken. The incident remains under investigation by the Henderson Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crimestoppers at (270) 831-1111.

At 4:15 p.m. on March 28, Sonny D. Powell, 27, Henderson, was arrested in the 1900 block of U.S. Hwy. 41 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

At 11 a.m. on March 22, Henderson Police responded to a report of an accident with injuries in the 1500 block of s. Green St. Henderson Police said the driver of a gold Chevy Cruze, who wasn’t clearly identified, apparently lost control of the vehicle due to a medical related issue while driving south on S. Green St. The Cruze struck a white Ford Ranger headed north. The driver of the Cruze was taken to Methodist Hospital. Police list Forrest Conrad, Clay, and Terry Griffith, Henderson, as the people involved in the accident, but the report doesn’t state who was driving which vehicle.
