God’s Great Outdoor Adventures – An American Tradition

sportsment deer running 300KENTUCKY (11/28/12) – Hello again folks! I hope you are having a blessed day. God has blessed us once again with some very nice weather. We should wake up each day thanking Him for each breath that he gives us to enjoy another day.

Today we are going to be talking about hunting and trapping. They are both American traditions. Our ancestors and their ancestors have been hunting, fishing and trapping since the beginning of time.

In the book of Genesis it explains that God gave dominion over all the living creatures on earth, in the air, and in the waters to man. It was our job to take care of them and harvest them for food. We are not to waste any of the harvest. Even the hides were used for clothing and blankets and such.

Today, we are to follow God’s plan as well, continuing to not waste our harvests. The land is full of wild game for all of us to hunt and trap. If we follow God’s plan, there will be plenty of wild game for years to come.

We will be attempting to do some trapping this season. It’s a lot tougher concept than simply going out with a rifle. You have to set a scent-free trap, which is very difficult.

I can’t wait to get started on this new adventure with my kids, passing down the American tradition.

Until next week, God bless and be safe!
