Murray State Tomlin Chosen to Play in Casino Del Sol College Game

casino allstarMURRAY, Ky. (1/3/13) – Murray State offensive lineman Roderick Tomlin has been selected to play in the Second Annual Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m..  The game will be played at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz., and will be carried live on the ESPN family of networks.

Tomlin’s selection marks the second time in as many years that a Racer has been selected to play in the game, joining former defensive back Dontrell Johnson.

Tomlin (Jackson, Tenn.) closed out his MSU career by starting the final 37 games of his career.  He started the final four games of his freshman season at left tackle, before starting every game at right tackle over the next three seasons.  He was honored as a Second-Team All-OVC selection following the 2012 season.  He graded out at 90-percent on the season and blocked for one of the top passing and scoring offenses in the FCS.  He helped pave the way for a 284 yard rushing game against Tennessee State.
