FISH3 300KENTUCKY (1/2/13) – Hello again folks! I hope you are having a blessed week. Well folks, if the turkeys aren’t responding, and you are getting aggravated, just grab a fishing pole and your attitude will be changed.

The ol’ Gobblers have lockjaw and those largemouth bass have their mouths wide open, waiting for the next treat to come along so they can gobble it up.

Good friend Brandi Frasier has been wearing the largemouth and small mouth out. She has even been going down and catching a few at Ol’ Hickory in Tennessee.

Also, a long-time friend, Robby Hand, has had his nets full as he pulls those huge largemouth bass out of those bushes. My great friends Sweet Tooth and Tiny taught me a lot about fishing the big lakes. The one thing they loved to do, before the good Lord called them home, was to spend the day on the lake flipping those bushes. I always thought you would scare the fish, but you pull up within a few feet of the bushes and flip in there, and hang on.

You will need a good strong rod and a quality line. Personally, I prefer the 20lb Berkley Big Game. I have pulled several fish from the bushes with my good friends.

Also, I was afraid of getting snagged in there. You do get snagged from time to time, and you do lose a few fish, but you catch more than you lose.

The water is on the rise with all the rain, and it offers a great opportunity to flip the bushes.

So, if you want some fun action, get out and do a little flipping!

Until next week, God bless and be safe.
