Local Doctor Passes Away in Hawaii

udave 300MADISONVILLE, KY (11/8/12) – SurfKY News learned this morning that a local doctor has passed away.

The following is statement from Baptist Health Madisonville President and CEO E. Berton Whitaker, delivered to SurfKY News by Baptist Health Marketing Communications Director Sara Spencer:

“We have learned that Dr. Uday Dave has passed away while in Hawaii. Details about his death are not available at this time.”

“Dr. Dave has practiced Otolaryngology at Trover Clinic (now known as Baptist Health Medical Associates) since 1978. He was loved by his patients, his colleagues, and all who knew him. His contributions to this health system and to the medical community at large are numerous and he will certainly be missed by all.”

Unconfirmed reports stated that Dave’s death was the result of an unspecified accident during a trip to Hawaii for a medical convention, and SurfKY News will deliver more details as they become available.

Our condolences go out to Dr. Dave’s family and friends as well as his colleagues and coworkers at Baptist Health.
