Messenger Staff Affirms Rep. Ben Waide’s Compliance with Campaign Finance Laws

ben waide 300On Tuesday, Ben Waide filed the sworn Affidavit of Tina Dillingham, a retail account executive with The Messenger of Madisonville, Kentucky in Hopkins Circuit Court.

The affidavit serves to support Rep. Waide’s position that he followed the campaign finance laws when he was twice elected to the Kentucky General Assembly.

Ms. Dillingham testified that after investigating the accounts of Ben Waide for State Representative and Liberty Rehabilitation, PSC, wherein thousands of dollars were spent and over four (4) years of advertising, it was discovered that a Breast Cancer Awareness ad was mistakenly invoiced to Liberty Rehabilitation, PSC for the sum of $108.00.

She further acknowledged that the ad was not intentionally invoiced to Liberty Rehabilitation, PSC or at the request of or with the knowledge of Ben Waide or his campaign.
