Donations were remarkable with 6,090 pounds of food collected. Post 2 also received monetary donations which were used to purchase additional, non-perishable food items.

On Monday, December 16, 2013, Post 2 personnel loaded one full-size van and one full-size pickup truck with the donated food. The food was then transported to local agencies which help those in need in the Post 2 District.

"I am truly humbled by the generosity of the communities we serve. We are fortunate to have so many people willing to share with others in need. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has helped our Post make a difference in the lives of so many people," commented Captain Bobby D. Murray.
