Clayton Selected as Superintendent

rob claytonBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (6/21/13) - Rob Clayton has been named superintendent of Warren County Public Schools.

Clayton has served as principal of South Oldham Middle School in Crestwood for the past seven years. The Oldham County school system is a high-achieving district. The district scored in the 96th percentile last year in the Unbridled Learning state assessment. South Oldham Middle School scored in the 94th percentile among all Kentucky middle schools.

Clayton is completing his twentieth year in education. He has taught biology and chemistry as well as coached football and track & field. He has been in administration for 13 years. He received his superintendent certificate from the University of Louisville in 2010 after earning his Rank I administration certificate there in 2000.

Clayton was one of three finalists for the position. He will succeed Tim Murley, who retired in February. The school board plans to come up with a four-year contract that will allow Clayton to begin on July 1.
