Potential Murder Investigation in Graham

shooting investigation 300GRAHAM, Ky. (10/15/13) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) officials have released information regarding a possible homicide that took place in Graham today, October 15, 2013.

According to KSP officials, Officers with the Muhlenberg Sheriff’s Department contacted Troopers at around 1:25 p.m., requesting a welfare check at a Graham residence. Once on the scene of the residence, Troopers found two individuals, one male and one female, both deceased. KSP officials have stated that it appears that both victims were shot. Both were pronounced dead on the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office.

KSP has not released the names of the victims at this time, but have stated that once an autopsy has been performed, scheduled for Wednesday, further information will be released.

KSP Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh is currently the investigating officer in the case.

KSP Post 2 units and the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
