Woman Injured in Muhlenberg Accident

Accident Injuries 01 300DUNMOR, Ky. (2/19/14) — The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on U.S. 431 at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 approximately a half mile north of Dunmor.

According to a KSP report, the preliminary investigation revealed that Tonia Level, 41, of Russellville, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier headed north on U.S. 431, when a deer entered the roadway into her path of travel. Level's vehicle struck the deer, and her vehicle came to rest in the northbound lane.

Level was transported by private vehicle to Logan Memorial Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the collision.

The Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
