breakingnews update 300

LEXINGTON, Ky. (11/14/13) – The Post Gazette out of Pittsburgh, Penn. is reporting that a suspect has been identified and apprehended after a shooting near Brashear High School in Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.

Pittsburgh police have arrested 16-year-old Anjohnito Willet, Jr. after he allegedly shot three teenagers. The teenagers are 17-year-old Andrew Umphrey, 15-year-old DaJour Jones, and 17-year-old Robert “Eugene” Minor. None of the teenagers faced life-threatening injuries.

Police emphasize the shooting was not inside the school. They suspect the shooting stems from an assault incident back in October.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (11/13/13) – The Associated Press is reporting that three students were shot outside a Pittsburgh, Penn. high school, according to school officials.

The students were shot outside Brashear High School Wednesday afternoon, said Pittsburgh school district spokeswoman Ebony Pugh, adding that the students were walking to a vehicle they'd all taken to school earlier in the day.

Pugh said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Two were grazed in the head, while one was shot in both the foot and arm. The victims were nearby the school, but not on school property. One was found inside the school, but either ran inside the school or was taken there by emergency officials.

As of now, the identity of the shooter is unclear.
