Local Company President Assaulted by Employee

ARREST MORRISMADISONVILLE, KY (11/28/12) – At approximately 7:37 this morning Hopkins County Central Dispatch was informed of a possible assault case in progress, occurring at Joe Leasure and Sons located at 39 North Madison Avenue.
 
Once on the scene Madisonville Police Department (MPD) officials were informed that 45-year-old Morris Jones had struck company president Doug Leasure with a metal pipe during a confrontation. Witnesses on the scene advised that Jones hand hit Leasure several times with the pipe.
 
Leasure was transported to ER by private vehicle for treatment of injuries. Leasure was released from the hospital later in the afternoon after treatment of extensive injuries.
 
Jones was arrested on charges of Assault (2nd Degree) and is currently lodged at the Hopkins County Jail.
