FRANKFORT, KY (8/29/12) – On May 9, 2011 the Greenville Fire Department responded to a house fire at 106 Wilson Street in Greenville, KY. According to Greenville Fire Chief Jerry Aders, the incident seemed suspicious and the Kentucky State Police and State Fire Marshal were contacted.
Arson Investigator Mike Smith from Kentucky State Police post 16 was dispatched to investigate. Smith’s report stated that the house fire, resulting in no injuries, was started in the kitchen and seemed suspicious in nature. His full report was submitted to the Grand Jury of Muhlenberg County.
Three people, Carol Sigers, Rebecca Stehlin, and Daniel Stehlin were indicted for Arson (2nd Degree) and Complicity. On August 27, 2012, Carol Sigers’s arraignment was postponed until September 4, 2012.
Rebecca Stehlin’s arraignment is scheduled to be September 10, 2012.
Daniel Stehlin’s arraignment was held August 27, 2012, where he waived formal arraignment and plead not guilty. A pretrial conference is set for September 10, 2012 along with bail set for $5,000.
Daniel Stehlin is currently being held in custody at the Hopkins County Detention Center for an out of county warrant from Muhlenberg County and a probation violation for a felony offense until bail can be met.
