MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (10/15/12) – According to Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department officials, three Hopkins County residents were arrested in Muhlenberg County on charges related to Meth manufacturing.
On Friday, October 12, 2012, Muhlenberg County Deputy Sheriff B. W. DeArmond arrested Rita J. Blades of 116 Country Club Drive, Madisonville, Sara L. Orange of 788 Fairview Drive, Madisonville and William D. Barnes, also of Hopkins County.
Deputy DeArmond observed one of the persons inside the car attempting to hide pills as the car approached a road check point. A search of the vehicle revealed a box meth lab in the trunk of the vehicle.
Blades and Barnes were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and Orange was charged with Facilitation to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
Blades was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.
The subjects were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center; Blades and Barnes were placed under a $20,000 bond and Orange was placed under a $5,000 bond.
Dearmond was assisted by Deputy Will Ward, Sheriff Curtis McGehee and Kentucky State Police Trooper Jon McGehee.
