Huge Turnout for 'Fighting Like A Foster' Benefit

fight like foster 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (2/25/13) –Tyler Foster, a 12-year-old student at Muhlenberg South Middle School and son of Michael and Susan Foster, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. Tyler's friends at school started supporting and encouraging him to “Fight Like A Foster”. This past Saturday, many people came out to “Fight Like A Foster” at a benefit held at Tyler's school to help the family during this time.

The event came about through a private chat on Facebook between friends Linda Lehpamer, Shawnna Gunterman and Evelyn and Scottie Brooks, all members of “Muhlenberg Marketplace”. The friends wanted to organize an event to raise money to help the family with any expenses they have incurred over the past few months.

The benefit included an auction of donated items, children’s games, food and baked goods. Musical entertainment was provided by Anointed, Macy Harris, The Bratchers, Higher Praise, Bro. James Branscum, Me & The Boys and Scottie & Evelyn Brooks. Over $4800.00 was raised at this event.

The organizers expressed wishes to thank everyone for supporting Tyler and his family, whether it was through donations or working at the event. If you would like to make any donations, you can contact Leona Foster at 338-2258. You can also follow Team Tyler Foster on Facebook.

The family requests prayers for Tyler as he continues to “Fight Like A Foster.”
