Two Charged for Drugs in Greenville

drug arrest 02 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (1/6/14) — Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Detective Troy Gibson charged two Greenville residents on drug-related charges Friday, Jan. 3.

Gibson, who is assigned to the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, executed a search warrant at 340 Bethel Lane and charged Mitchell Latham and Cynthia Dukes after finding drugs and guns.

Latham was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Dukes was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Gibson was assisted by officers with Muhlenberg Sheriff's Department, PNTF, Kentucky State Police, Central City Police and Madisonville Police in the investigation.

Both were lodged in the Muhlenberg Detention Center but were not found as inmates Monday, Jan. 6.
