CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (3/3/14) ― Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision at 3:04 p.m. Sunday, March 2 along the Western Kentucky Parkway near the 54 mile marker at Central City.
According to a KSP report, Dustin Pointer, 22, of Columbia, Ky., was headed west in a 2009 Toyota Corolla on the WKP, when he lost control of his car on slick roads. The vehicle entered the median, where Pointer over-corrected. He then crossed both westbound lanes of traffic and exited the right shoulder of the road. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned. It came to rest on the driver's side.
Pointer was transported by private vehicle to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt and no passengers were involved.
