Lady Mustangs Defeat Breckinridge; Face Lady Aces Saturday

muhl hoops 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (3/6/14) — As has been the case with everything else this week due to the weather, the 3rd Region Basketball Tournament at the Owensboro Sportscenter had to reschedule games, too.

The Lady Mustangs were off to a good start once the games began however, winning over Breckinridge County, 54-41, Wednesday, March 5 in tournament action.

Saturday night at 6 p.m., coach Mike Harper's Lady Mustangs face off with the number one girls basketball team in the region, the Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces.

Owensboro Catholic has a record of 26-6 in regular season play.

The Muhlenberg Mustangs boys basketball team goes up against Daviess County at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Sportscenter.

Daviess County is ranked fourth in the region with a win-loss record of 16-10 for the season.

Tony Hopper's Mustangs go into Saturday's game with three wins in a row.
