Accident Injury 01 gold 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (5/4/14) ― Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision at 6:19 p.m. Friday, May 2 on Kentucky 2107 near Central City.

According to the KSP report, Jason McPherson of Beech Creek was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Venture headed north on Kentucky 2107, when his vehicle left the left side of the road. According to the preliminary investigation, McPherson then overcorrected and crossed the road running off the right side of the road. The vehicle rolled and came to a final rest on its top in the road.

McPherson and his passenger, David Cobb, were transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Both were wearing their seat belts.

As a result of the KSP investigation, McPherson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/narcotics and was lodged in the Muhlenberg Detention Center.

Trooper Jacob Fortney investigated the collision. The Drakesboro Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
