Blue Collar Comments – Archery Range on the Swamp?

bluecc300 AHOPKINS COUNTY, KY (7/18/13) – Here we go again. They are thinking about putting an Archery Range in wet lands?

The project itself would cost an estimated $203,000. The proposed building is 80x130, and guess where they want to build it? In the swampland where they want to put the Sports Complex.

The sports complex needs $3 million and $6 million to fully develop the black hole…I mean the Sports Complex.

We have the Tech Center out by the Sports Complex. Let’s see now, $36 million dollars and the building has been empty for the last three years. It was built on unstable ground and started falling in. The ground at the Sports Complex is, or was, wetlands, but the county got it approved to build the Sports Complex. Now they want to spend $203,000 to build an 80x130 building for archery.

The Tech Center is falling in. Is this what is going to happen to the Archery Range building? The land is undermined. When is the spending going to stop?
