Historic Homes of Hopkins County

madisonville historic homes 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/12/13) – The Hopkins County Genealogical Society and the Historical Society of Hopkins County have teamed up to publish a book about the history of homes in Madisonville.

Of the 500 copies of, “Eighty-six Madisonville Historic Homes – Each has a Story,” 380 already have been sold.

The book contains 170 pages of both color and black and white photos of those 86 homes including information about them and the families that have or still are living in them.

There will be a book signing held at the Hancock Bank and Trust Company from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15. Both author, Jane Ann Jackson and photographer, Tom Wortham will be present to sign copies and discuss the writing process.
