HCCHS Students Take Historic Tour

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (12/11/13) — Historic Homes Tour: The Housing and Interiors class at Hopkins County Central High School recently toured several historic homes with Jane Ann Jackson, author of "Eighty-Six Historic Madisonville Homes," as tour guide.

The students viewed the exteriors of several homes, and toured the interiors of the Hammack-Moore House Bed & Breakfast, the old Bassett home and the Curtis home on North Seminary Street.

The students expressed their gratitude to Jane Ann Jackson, who graciously devoted her day to leading the tour; Shirley Thomas for extending warm hospitality even with a house full of guests; Toby Miles for sharing his stately home; and Lynn and Jerry Curtis for welcoming them into their beautiful residence.
