Owensboro Police Department Plans to Use River Valley Grant to Enforce Underage Drinking Laws

underage drinking 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (5/15/13) – The Owensboro Police Department is partnering with River Valley Behavioral Health Regional Prevention Center as officers continue to enforce underage drinking laws.

The River Valley Behavioral Health Regional Prevention Center has provided OPD with an Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) grant. The Owensboro Police Department plans to utilize this grant by conducting DUI enforcement roadblocks during the month of May to coincide with our local school graduation events.

Impaired drivers pose a danger not only to themselves but to others as well. Please help keep public roads safe this graduation season.
