Holiday Hustle 5K Run/Walk
There will be a 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department at the Adkisson Greenbelt Trail on Dec. 7. The run/walk will begin at the Dairy Queen on New Hartford Road and continue on the Horse Fork Creek Trail.

Owensboro Dance Theatre's Nutcracker Sweet Character Brunch

5th Annual Toys For Tots Holiday Bash
The 2013 Thunder Roads Bluegrass Biker News Toys for Tots Holiday Bash will be held at the Ramada Inn on Dec. 7 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature live music, a food court, games with prizes, a silent auction, and Santa for the kids. Holiday Stroll
Stroll the downtown streets to get in the holiday spirit on Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Strolling carolers, storefront decorations, and indoor performers will make this evening a reminder of the good old days of being downtown at Christmas. Pearl Harbor Remembrance Service
The Owensboro Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #696 and Tri-State Branch #105, Fleet Reserve Association will sponsor a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Service at the VFW Post home at 311 W. Veterans Boulevard on December 7, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to come to this remembrance service and honor the soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen who were present on this fateful Sunday in December of 1941. Owensboro Dance Theatre's "The Nutcracker"

The Owensboro Choral Society will present Handel’s Messiah at Third Baptist Church on Dec. 8 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Community singers make up the chorus of this local musical tradition and perform under the direction of Owensboro Community and Technical College Professor Connie Ford. Proceeds from this concert go to the Goodfellows Club, which provides clothing, emergency dental care and an annual Christmas party for children in need.
