BOWLING GREEN, KY - Gerald Allen Hamm, 76 passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Medical Center.
The Russell Springs native was born August 15, 1936 to the late George Allen and Opal Hamm. Gerald was a former School Teacher for the Bowling Green City School District for more than twenty years where he taught Physical Education, coached a number of high school sports and refereed. He was faithful member of Glendale Baptist Church, and also served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years; Diana Delores Hamm, three sons; Ritchie Hamm, wife Pam, Bowling Green, Kevin Hamm, wife Kim, Gardendale, AL, Chad Hamm, wife Suna, Bowling Green, a daughter; Kristy Mayes, Bowling Green and a step-daughter; Vinisha De` Shawn Jones, Louisville, KY, grandchildren; Melissa Hamm, Sarah Beth Hamm, Lindsey Hamm, Rebecca Joy Hamm, Lauren Hamm, Leah Hamm, Brandon Board, Stephen Hamm, Brittany Brady, Kayla Faith Hamm, Jacob Flippins, Taya Flippins and one great grandson; Carter Hamm.
He is preceded in death by his first wife formerly; Gwen Burns.
Visitation is 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service is at Glendale Baptist Church Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Bowling Green Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
